Girls Bravo 's Review

Bravo Girls, Bravo

Alright, so let’s get a Neon review on this anime. I don’t think it’s bad, but it could be better.

Fun Fact - Did you know one definition of "Bravo" is: a daring bandit, assassin, or murderer, especially one hired to steal or murder for another?

No? Well now you do.

Story:

Out of the other ecchi anime, Girls Bravo does several things differently, or has a change up of how a harem lifestyle functions. And I think they’re good changes. And by good changes, I mean without’em, this would be another anime about big tits and the main character getting his assed kicked by his childhood friend…ya.

So anyway, the main character named Yukinari, grew up with this condition where he breaks out into spots when girls are too close to him. This is triggered by his fear of girls. Which he became afraid of girls, because they teased and bullied him while growing up, because he’s small.

-That already gives me mixed feelings about this anime. It’s unique in some aspects since the main character would make being around girls kind of a non-option. But the anime doesn’t do that, which in turn makes the anime fall flat in the eyes of people looking for something new. But it get’s picked up again by how the character is supposed to better himself.

He get’s the chance to better himself by suddenly appearing in the bathroom of the girl named Miharu, who’s kind of been watching him from another planet… by looking through the bath water.

-I can see how this adds a big twist, but if you think about it, it’s not so much as "omg, boner in my pants! SciFi! Supernatural!" and more like "this is weeeerrriiiid". So I commend the anime for trying to get the ball rolling in a interesting direction (considering i’m just one of those viewers who goes with the flow and not forcefully upset myself about what the anime has or doesn’t have), but they could have introduced these twists a little better if they want everyone to be ok with this anime.

Of course, this was before he accidentally got uh, knee’d in the face by his best friend, who over reacted to him opening the bathroom while she was bathing.

-And this is what upsets me about a lot of harem anime. The main character always gets beatings for misunderstandings, accidents, and other tom foolery. It’s not funny anymore, it’s stupid, over used, and annoying (in my opinion).

The planet’s males are a "rare species", so he had some trouble during his stay and return back to earth. And that all I can really tell without spoiling the unique portion of the anime.

The rest of the episodes, besides hinted spikes in the story, is just moving from day to day after dealing with what new situation or problem comes into play on that day.

-SNORE is what you’re probably thinking, but it’s not that bad. Trust me. It’s got several interesting episodes. Anime does this, to keep the anime going until the story needs to movie or can move depending on what makes the most sense or what would most likely happen.

So the story isn’t bad, it’s just not meaty. This isn’t anything new in the harem world, so don’t be upset or alarmed. Just continue making lemonade from the lemons you get.

Animation:

Based on how old the anime is, everything stays in a slightly un-blended, solid manner. Don’t let that picture under "cover information" fool you into thinking it’s as sublime as that.

Which is okay in my opinion. Just, whatever, right?

The anime isn’t held back by anything animation or art wise. Keeping in mind that it’s not as blended and colorful as the cover art, the characters do look like that or close to it, so you should know what to expect at least.

Sound:

As I try to say in all my reviews, it depends on the mood you’re in that determines if the sound/music/stuff is spectacular/catchy or not. I find the rock-pop in the opening theme not in my taste, but I like the ending theme’s pop song. It comes off as pop with some smooth beats.

Characters

If you haven’t noticed from what I said earlier in my review, the main character is a bit of a wuss. Of course as time goes by, and he meets new people, he changes. So he’s ok in my book.

Miharu is sweet, and innocent, and ignorant girl who set’s up most of the problems for either the main character, friends, and/or herself. Cause and effect. The effects her being in the main character’s life causes most of the problems that keeps the anime rolling. Why not?

The last character I’ll mention (as to not spoil it for readers like you), is the main character’s childhood friend who’s name may escape me at this time but how annoying she is does not. Just a typical hissy, violent, simple minded, tsundere with big tits that as time goes by: starts to realize that "Hi, going ape shit for stupid reasons is wrong for various reasons that make sense… so I should-"

AAAANNNNDDD that’s all I’ll say. So watch the anime if you want to get to know all the wacky characters that make this anime fun to watch.

...but seriously, her violence should be like a trade mark or something.

Enjoyment

The things I enjoy about this anime… is Yukinari and Miharu’s relationship. That’s what keeps me smiling. The comedy is ridiculously silly as well.

The harem crafted is… maybe a "meh". It’s not really eye opening how a guy adapts to a girl, and the girl likes the guy, so ya.

Last thing I like about the anime is it’s twists and changes in the episodes. It’s adventurous, and exciting… sometimes… depending how well the anime sits with you from the first few episodes.

Overall

It’s an ecchi comedy. Shit happens… good and bad. If you know what to expect, or should I say you’re ok with what will happen next, then you’ll like the anime.

Of course not everyone knows how to make a non-cliche, interesting, anime about chicks and tits, so you may not like it.

Still, I urge you to give it a try if you have not seen it. And if you have, and you’re reading this review: look at it from a different light. Maybe a light that you don’t mind seeing it in. If you still don’t like it, then it just might not be the anime for you. Wait until you’re in the mood or something.
