King of Bandit Jing's Review

An anime that lives up to action and adventure.

Story:

I don’t really see this anime having a story. The anime seems to only follow a young man named Jing and his partner Kir, as they skillfully survive the stunts they pull.

I don’t usually take a shine to such anime. But I did like the action and cunning that Jing seemed to posses during the anime. So it made each episode and location, something to look forward to.

Animation:

The people behind the animation are the same people who were staffed in anime such as Hell girl, Ranma, and Mobile Suit Gundam.

If you have not heard of these three anime, they are known to glorify the action and adventure genres. So Jing King Of Bandits hasn’t failed to stand out in it’s era with thrilling animations and a unique world to view along aside Jing.

Sound:

The people behind the anime’s music are the same people who were staffed in anime such as Death Note, Hell Girl Two Mirrors, and Law of Ueki. Which should tell you that rock, among other music, is applied to this anime. Wither it’s good or bad, depends on your taste in music. I have no solid feelings for it, so I’d say it’s nothing special.

Everything else seems to check out as nothing special. Nice work in the Japanese dub. The English dub however, is a bit lacking in quality voice acting. Like most English dubbed anime.

Characters:

Since the anime is centered around two characters throughout the anime, you’d think there would be good development and background. But sadly, I find the anime to be cryptic in some areas, since it’s either offhandedly mentioned or is just to cryptic to understand upon first hearing it.

Characters that are placed in the anime to have interactions(good or bad), are well done, since each character in each location, in each episode, has a purpose. A beginning, middle, and end. Jing and Kir seem to lack Beginnings, so the anime mainly focuses on the present with them or what they’re doing in real time with few flashbacks.

Enjoyment:

I enjoy this anime because of it’s action and adventure, for all the reasons I said earlier in the review.

Sadly, that’s all I enjoy about the anime. The main characters are clever and have there own personalities, but that’s just about the only thing that’s interesting about them.

There’s no plot or at least not an interesting one, all the other characters are more appealing then the main characters, it’s just…. difficult to find things to like about the anime other then how it lives up to the genres its been given. Mainly because all this anime has is the genres it hits the most. Nothing "very interesting" but "something to get your attention if you like the genres".

Overall:

Jing King of Bandits is an awesome action and adventure based anime. But that’s all I find good about the anime. I may be a sucker for clever, cool, and funny characters that make the anime seem like it doesn’t need a story-line, but that’s not enough to make it an amazing anime that it could have been.

Thanks for reading.

Stay Tuned.

Good. I felt that you focused too much on who made the show and not enough on the show. Also a few of your criticisms seem dampened by your overall opinion on it at times. Well done, though.
