Maken-ki's Review

An intriguing story, but poorly used cookie cutter set up.

A tried and true magic high school story. Seemingly powerless main character that draws girls to him like a magnet. Tsundere childhood friend, random fiancee, and probably the most interesting a murderous loli. Along with unreal violence levels for a student who is still ordinary at the start, the reactions of the girls is a little off. When being seen naked, hit him before covering yourself, but not until I threaten his life. Only battle harden warriors or floozies don’t immediately cover themselves.  The art style is okay, but the character art is based solely around DD breast girls or elementary school level development, the only exception is the occasional FF breast they have for they "super idols". The voice acting(based on inflection and not actually understanding Japanese) is well suited to the characters, and the credits song are well chosen.

I’m sorry, but I honestly don’t fully agree with this review.
I believe Maken-ki’s deserves more credit then that.

I will admit that the artist of the characters portrayed the girls with extremely large breast. (It’s typical.) Along with the fact, the main protagonist looks extremely stupid, but besides these slight problems the art was wonderful.

What I must say is that, the concept of this show is one of the many great things about this show, with the individual special weapons. (that could have been expanded)

Another thing about the show was the characters were all different in their own little way and it was what made them unique.

I honestly enjoyed the theme and ending very much, they were “catchy”.

I thoroughly enjoyed this anime (and is excited for the following sequels to be), and I hope this will convince you to reconsider your choice at reviewing this anime.
